Seismic Zones: Boundaries of the earth’s plates where earthquakes are more likely to occur.
Seismograph: An instrument used to record the seismic waves of an earthquake.
Richter Scale: A scale used to express the magnitude of an earthquake. An earthquake of magnitude 7 or higher is highly destructive.

4. Lightning Conductors (ବଜ୍ରପାତ ନିରୋଧକ)

A lightning conductor is a device used to protect buildings from the effects of lightning. It consists of a metallic rod taller than the building, installed in the walls with one end in the air and the other buried deep in the ground.
